We have 1 position open for a Receiving Clerk

This is a manual labor position that requires lifting boxes by hand to stack & label them, walking & standing at a computer. This is NOT a sit down computer job or bar code scanning job. It requires a person to be in good physical condition with the ability to raise and lower the dock door plate which weighs 65 pounds, and boxes can weigh up to 45 pounds that get lifted by hand throughout the day.  Applicants will be required to pass a pre-hire physical & drug screen if offered the job.  This person will also be cross trained on Shipping.  Most orders are shipped by UPS or Fed-Ex and require the use of a pallet jack, hand truck or cart. Some orders are larger and shipped by freight truck that require the use of our forklift.

You must be efficient in basic computer skills such as Microsoft  Excel, Word & Outlook. We prefer someone with prior experience using UPS and/or FedEx software.  You will be tested on your Microsoft Office skills if called for an interview. Please read the job description below before applying.

Working hours:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay:  
  •     Starting pay of $22.00 per hour. 
  •     Eligible for a wage increase of up to $24.00 per hour after 90 days.
  •     Eligible for quarterly performance bonus after 90 days.
  •     Eligible for a $300 sign on bonus after working 520 hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  1. General cleaning of work area.
  2. Unload trucks.
  3. Receive shipments daily.
  4. Enter Received and Shipping transactions into Excel Spreadsheet Logs.
  5. Assign Trace Lot number and place Component labels on product when needed.
  6. Print labels for inventory received.
  7. Move received items to designated areas.
  8. Pull components for Finishing Room from picking lists.
  9. Create pick lists for some shipments.
  10. Daily cycle count of inventory.Ensure racks/ storage area are neat and organized.
  11. Operation of a fork lift, pallet jack & hand trucks.
  12. Other duties as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and counts.
  2. Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so in order to prevent accidents. You have a special obligation to immediately report any unsafe condition that might result in an accident to you, your co-workers, or the public.
  3. Safeguarding sensitive company and employee information.
  4. Ensure Condition and Accuracy of all orders shipped.
  5. Ensure Condition and Accuracy of all deliveries received.
  6. Ensure proper amount of shipping supplies (boxes, pallets, tape, …..)
  7. Cleanliness of work area.
  8. If their work is caught up, they should immediately notify their supervisor.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:

  1. Must be able to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  2. Must be self-motivated & able to work without constant supervision.
  3. Must have a willing attitude and be a team player.
  4. Must have a sense of quality.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:

  1. Good basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division).
  2. Ability to read & comprehend work instructions.
  3. High School Diploma, GED or 2 years experience at Albert Mfg USA.
  4. Efficient in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:

  1. Ability to manually lift up to 65 pounds throughout the day.
  2. Spends the majority of their day standing or walking.
  3. Ability to drive a forklift safely.

LICENSING OR OTHER SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Will be forklift certified by Albert Mfg USA.
